Nabisco's Royal Lunch Milk Crackers have been discontinued
Same ugly experience for me, too. Went grocery shopping for Thanksgiving and found NO lunch/milk crackers of any brands. Came home to see if I could find some on line and found the posting about Famous Foods and Heritage Mills Milk Crackers - ordered some and they should be arriving in time for the Thanksgiving stuffing. BTW, I, too, am of Lithuanian descent and have been eating/making this stuffing for more than 50 years.
We all joke about "heart attack stuffing"....lots of milk crackers, butter and eggs - plus I add Carnation milk to the mixture. My family would be devastated without this stuffing - most of them consider the turkey the vehicle for the stuffing. Last couple of years I used lunch crackers made by LU...can't remember anything else about them....and they were not bad. This year, I couldn't find any of them. Looking forward to trying the Heritage Mills product, and I'm so glad I found some direction at this web site.
