Restaurant Reco near High River?
I plan on getting a gift card as a Xmas present for my BIL and SIL who live in High River. (I live in Vancouver).
They're not completely adventerous eaters although I do know they like Indian. They have made reference to a Vietnamese restaurant in High River but I can't recall if they actually liked it. I'm also pretty sure they won't want to travel too far into the city for a meal so High River, Okotoks and the southern limits of the city could work. A nice meal for two for under $100. I'd like to get them something "special" and would like to avoid Milestone's, Earl's-chain type restaurants.
Any recommendations pls?
Thanks!

Kid-friendly in Calgary NW?
thanks everyone. i guess we'll stick to some good chinese take out (just read about it on another thread) and wait until the kids are older before letting them loose on unsuspecting diners.
1 Day in Vancouver,...
that's unfortunate about kirin. easily one of the better higher-end chinese restaurants in the city.
cactus club...you'll definitely find cocktails and the menu consists of standard food done well. it likely won't be a memorable experience though.
Kid-friendly in Calgary NW?
why did someone tell me that BEFORE i had kids?
they are 1 and 3 so one high chair is needed.
Kid-friendly in Calgary NW?
Hi there
We'll be in the Northwest of Calgary over the Xmas holidays (Royal Oak I think it's called?). We would love to find some lunch/brunch family-friendly places that aren't Swiss Chalet or White Spot. Any suggestions please?
Thanks!
