December in the French Quarter
Ditto the hotel lobby recommendation. The Monteleone one was fabulous two years ago. The streetcars have been decorated with lights in times of yore and I assume will be this year. And the Quarter itself as the Christmas decorations proliferate--Rudolphs frozen in mid-leap off intaglio second-floor-balcony ironwork emerge ghost-like out of the fog that so often floats in off the river around Christmas.
