yes, i suppose i was a little too vague. by interesting, i guess i meant cool or funky, i guess? downtown would be preferred. i guess about 30-40$ a person would be reasonable.

unfortunately the restaurant location is a surprise but i know its a sushi place in the area. yes, i guess by intimate i do mean quiet. just need a simple place to be able to sit and chat and have a drink with my GF before heading to eat. but anywhere relatively near union square is fine. it would be for around 8ish tonight.

Just as a follow-up, wanted to share that despite Cityzen's great atmosphere and open kitchen (love that), the food was kind of dull and oversauced with little in the way of interesting seasoning.

Hi all - I'm from out of town and am taking my DC girlfriend to Cityzen for her 30th birthday this Saturday and was in need of a nice place to take her for drinks beforehand - So far I was planning on going to Firefly at Hotel Madera so any comments about this place or other recommendations would be much appreciated!
