How do you drink your milk?
This is the kind I love! My source comes from organic Brown Swiss. I grew up on a dairy farm and there is nothing better than ice cold milk from the bulk tank from the cows you love and care for. Those days are gone, but raw milk always takes me back.

They got me at the sample table! I usually avoid juice, but it was an impulse buy.
I agree about the fresh squeezed, one of my favorite things about visiting my snowbird grandparents is the fresh squeezed grapefruit juice every morning.
The all grapefruit is an organic grapefruit, its stats are similar with 20 less calories per serving. I may try it, but I know it is better for me to eat whole fruit anyway.

I was in love with Rio Red Grapefruit juice, until I read the label. After sampling it, I bought a few jugs. As I was pouring a glass, I noticed it was 100% juice, but grape juice was the first ingredient.
I tried the dried white peaches and they are okay.

So glad you guys posted this. I am in love with those!!! I am in Indiana and bought 4 jars last night. They had lots, but I was afraid to buy more than that because I tend to burn our quickly. I just used last of my TJ hot pepper jelly and I am missing it:(
Trader Joe's February 2012 Fearless Flyer is out
Like many things at TJ, I loved it and then I ate it again and did not love it as much.
Or it could just be that I am fickle...or a night shifter and things at work sometimes taste better than at home???
I still love the concept and do enjoy it but for $10 lb I much prefer my favorite Manchego from Whole Foods.
Costco worth it for a couple?
I have had a costco membership for about 6 months. It is just me and my husband. We have used it for tires to get a savings that did in fact offset the cost.
I don't always find great deals on groceries, butI go there bi-weekly to buy items for my husbands lunch and pick up other random things. There are several things that we regularly consume that are better priced at costco.
There is one by my work that is always 10-25 cents per gallon less, so I fill up there when I can.
We also buy restaurant gift cards for restaurants that we frequent at 20% savings off face value.
I do this for spa gift cards as well.
You can get discounts on insurance, travel, and many other things...including caskets as previously mentioned.
My favorite purchase has been knock off Lu Lu Lemon workout clothing.
I bought the executive because the reimburse you for the extra cost if your rebates are less than the difference between the membership plans.
It is 100% refundable, so if you buy it and it does not work out, you can get a full-refund.

I liked it, but the cheddar wasn't as sharp as I had hoped. It was a fun purchase, but I would not buy again.

I love it! Salty cheddar and sweet chocolate. Way more complex than my old after school snack of cheddar cheese and chocolate milk- a grownup version

Anybody tried the spotlight cheese, Chocolate Cheddar? I have it, but left it at work. I used to love drinking chocolate milk with cheddar cheese as an after school snack...wondering if it translates?
costco duck halves
They are in Indianapolis as well. I have been thinking about trying. Love the flambe idea.

I just tried the unsweetened freeze dried grapes. They are a great sweet crunch. I loved them, but since they are made from only 6 oz grapes at 1.99 an ounce they are a little too pricey for a regular snack.

I love that fluer de sel caramel. Amazing on Honeycrisp apples or a spoon. Now I want to try it with the Danish pancakes.

I agree on the combo. I love those. Not as great in the microwave, but a quick bite at work.

That Macroon aux Framboises was amazing! I loved that it was not too sweet!

What are YOUR predictions for 2012 food trends?
I have to try this. It never occurred to me to roast the whole stalk, but I love them individually roasted.
What are YOUR predictions for 2012 food trends?
At Christmas my MIL had several flavored marshmellows- they were not gourmet, but grocery shelf- Gingerbread and Mint Chocolate- neither which I could bring myself to try.
Making homemade marshmellows is on my to-do list- maybe I will have to concoct a great new flavor.
Best Products at Cost Plus World Market?
I enjoy finding unique sodas and trying different wines.
This Christmas we got this interesting soda assortment and had a fun soda tasting.
Typical Foods of Every State/Region of US?
Indiana is known for breaded tenderloins, which I think was mentioned for another state.

Choc covered Peppermint Jo-Joes and Candy Cane Green tea showed up at my TJ this weekend:)
Dallas Restaraunt Recs
I will be in Dallas a few days after Chrsitmas ( staying near the Galleria).
I would be interested in recs for good lunch spots (BBQ or tex mex suggestions) and a few dinner recs (Steak or nicer restaurants) please no ethnic- any price range okay.
Anyone been to the ice exhibit at the Gaylord Hotel- is it worth seeing? Any other must not miss sights?
TIA

Lemon is my favorite, so I knew better to buy them in the first place. My nutrtional intake is more important than my budget, which is why I love single serving packages.
What you do with your leftover is up to you, mine go in the trash.

I loved the lemon heart cookies- so much I had to toss them because I would not stay out of them.
Did not like the chocolate covered chips either- I think it they were dark chocolate and thin chips they would have been better- did not like the texture of the thick ripple chips.

I liked the Maryland Crab as well, but thought the Lobster Bisque was bland.
Venturing towards reds...
Just wanted to give a quick update. I ordered a red wine flight at dinner on New Year's Eve.
Unfortunately for me they were huge pours. Wouldn't be a problem for most of you, I am sure. There was a Merlot, Cabernet, Malbac, and I can't remember the 4th.
I found them all drinkable, but still slightly strong. The only glass I finished was the Malbac. I do think in time my palate will adjust to them just fine.
I went to Trader Joe's on Sunday, but unfortunately we have blue laws that prohibit wine sales on Sunday. So hopefully I will get to do more experimenting soon. A friend is coming over Wednesday, so another opportunity to research.
I did some more coffee experimentation this weekend, that research is going quite well!
Venturing towards reds...
Thanks for the run down on what to stay away from right now. Since I don't have any red "experience" besides Malvasia and a few dessert wines, I really was not sure where to begin.
Venturing towards reds...
I am in Indiana so I am at the mercy of anything they see fit to put on the shelf.
The Indy Wine Fest is coming up. I normally attend, but I am going to be on vacation this year.
I think I would enjoy it more this year than any other in the past.
Venturing towards reds...
Well, I wouldn't reccomend it, I had part of my stomach removed. I am not sure why this affected my tastebuds or if this is a permanant change. But I better take advantage of this now!
I am drinking black coffee as I type, which I destested before. This is going to come in handy for a night shift nurse, such as myself!
