Vina Salceda

We are visiting Elciego and were thinking of visiting Vina Salceda. I have not been able to find any reviews/comments and no pictures on line. Has anyone been?

Wineries that serve lunch

Thanks for the tip on Mirabels guides. Very helpful.

Wineries that serve lunch

We are spending a few days in Rioja in early October. I heard there are some wineries that serve lunch. Does anyone know of any wineries that would be a good place to have lunch?

Picos de Europa

Thank you very much for your recommendation on HoteldelOso. I did some research on it and it has gotten great reviews. We actually decided to not only just eat there, we booked a room. I had never even heard of it before you mentioned it so thanks.

I did not realize there was a cider season. We will be there the last few days of this month (sept). What is Cider season.

I am not sure what the weather is going to be like when we are there. We normally love to do picnics but it may be too cold. I am thinking we will try El Casin.

Your suggestions were very helpful...thank you.

Madrid Restaurant - DiverXo vs La Terraza

We are booked for Terraza. Thanks for your help.

Picos de Europa

We are spending two days in the park. We will be staying in Cangas de Onis. Does anyone have a good suggestion for a place in the park to have a nice lunch. I am also interested in trying cheese and cider while we are in that area. Anyone know of good Sidrerias in the park or close to Cangas de Onis.

Cangas de Onis

We are spending two nights at the Parador Cangas de Onis. I was looking for restaurant options. I am thinking El Corral del Indiano or Casa Marcial for one of the nights. Does anyone know anything about these restaurants? The other night I was thinking about trying El Molin de la Pedrera. Has anyone eaten ther? I open to other suggestions as well.

Madrid Restaurant - DiverXo vs La Terraza

We are spending our last night in Spain in Madrid. We would like to have a great meal. I was thinking DiverXo or La Terraza del Casino. Can anyone help me decide between the two. I am also open to suggestions on other possibilities. Thanks

Perfect San Francisco Restaurant for Gift Certificate

Thats a good point about Ame and Spruce. Just looked them up and saw that.

I just looked at Chez Spencer and the gift certificates are nice. Thanks for the help.

Perfect San Francisco Restaurant for Gift Certificate

I have not looked at Chez Spencer yet...I will do some research.

Some other restaurants I am interested in after reading some reviews included Aziza, Frascati, Range, Ame, La Folie (worried Le Folie may be too expensive if I am only giving a $100 gift certificate).

A friend of a friend recommended Kokkari, Delfina, Spruce and A16 (worried about A16 b/c I heard the chef left recently).

Any thoughts on these restaurants or others would be appreciated. As I said, I would prefer a restaurant in a good area where they can get a drink or take a walk before and after dinner.

Thanks

Perfect San Francisco Restaurant for Gift Certificate

My friend is moving to San Francisco and I would like to give her a $100 gift certificate to a restaurant. I am looking for a restaurant that is not "touristy". We are both in our early 30's and definite "foodies". I would like something her and her husband can go to that has great food, fun atmosphere and preferably unique to San Fran. A place that will give her a great introduction to the restaurant scene and let her know how lucky she is to be moving to a city with such great restaurants to choose from. I am not familiar with the different areas within San Fran so it is difficult for me to focus on one in particular. Ideally the restaurant would be in an area where maybe there are some bars to go to or a safe/fun area to walk around before or after dinner. This is my ideal restaurant. The most important thing I am looking for is great food, atmosphere, and service...a fun place to have dinner/drinks where I know she will leave happy. Thanks
