Newbie vs. pancakes
I don't think it fluctuates on and off, but keeps increasing however long it's on. I'm about to inherit a couple cast iron pans, so maybe that'll help. Thanks!

Newbie vs. pancakes
I'm a newbie to cooking. When I make pancakes, the outer rim and the center burn while the top is still too wet to flip. How do I fix this? I do cook on a very old electric stove that seems not to maintain a steady temperature (from other dishes I've made).
