One day in SF with family--where to eat?
Sorry-- thought family implied not fancy-- no 4 stars, no reservations, don't need buzz. We will be traveling through twice-- both Wednesdays. Looking for 1 breakfast spot and 2 dinners. Prefer crunchy breakfast-- local eggs, home made breads, muffins,etc. Whole grain waffles, granola, etc. For dinner like ethnic (really anything), like hole in the wall, anything with a lively urban feel (we live in Maine)-- really open minded, interested in anything yummy. Will have time to drive for one dinner, so walking isn't critical. With 5 of us needs to be moderate to cheap. Thanks!
One day in SF with family--where to eat?
I will be laying over in San Francisco for 1 day between NY and a departure to New Zealand with my husband and 3 daughters (8, 11, 14) all chowhounds. I know SF has excellent food and would like to get me some. Planning on staying in the city, but would like to walk to dinner and breakfast. Looking at hotels in SoMa and the Marina, but maybe I should choose the restaurants first. Any suggestions?
