Well Desi village is the best Indian/pakistani restaurant in the area. I'm glad you realized it.

They have the best stuff off the menu.

And they also have the best buffet by far....better than Taste of India, Chinnar and Bawarchi.

spread means buffet?

There are two types of Indian buffet goers. Some want variety. Some want quality.

I typically load up on just two dishes at Indian buffets, and skip everything else. That would be lamb/goat curry and chicken tikka with nan. I don't even bother with rice.

Updates (2009) on Indian restaurants in Philly area

I am Indian, and have eaten at all the restaurants on this page.

My favorites are Desi Village and Bawarchi.

By the way, why do Caucasians always load up on Tandoori chicken? LOL

Tandoori chicken is just bland and burnt chicken. I don't even take a single piece.
