Palm Springs Best Happy Hours??

I recently went to Kaiser Grille after it's recent re-opening. I was a bit surprised at the price of the new happy hour menu. It seems like the what was the old 'regular' pricing is now the new 'happy hour' prices. The food was good-- we had oysters on the half shell, tuna tartare, crab cakes and a few pizzas. But when we got the bill -- it didn't really feel like a happy hour savings (the way it used to).

Haven't tried Lulu's yet. Heard that Margarita's has a good happy hour- but the mexican/sushi thing is a bid odd to me.

Any other happy hours in town that are worth a visit?

Best Pizza in Palm Springs

I'm looking for a great pizza in Palm Springs. I've been told that Matchbox for thin crust and Giuseppe's Pizza and Pasta for thick crust. Anyone have some feedback?

Favorite pork chop in Seattle?

Greg Atkinson also has a great recipe for a brined chop. I'll look forw Goin's too, love to try new methods.

Favorite pork chop in Seattle?

I rarely order pork chops because I find that they're either hit or miss, and usually the latter, rather than the former. A good pork chop should be flavorful, reasonably fatty on the edges, juicy as hell, and in a perfect world, layered enough in flavor so that you don't get totally palate-fatigued 1/3 of the way through it. So if I were to jump back into the pork chop game, where would you suggest going for a no-fail PC?

Unique, Weird and Unusual Dining in SF

This is an amazing thread. Was wondering if someone could give an update and share what the newest great 'unique', 'odd' & 'weird' restaurants are still in biz and which new ones should be added to the list.

PDX - Cheap eats downtown

I live in the SW Hills. We have no 'neighborhood' spots.

heading downtown tomorrow for an early movie. Want to grab lunch first. What are the best choices for a reasonable lunch? Even great cheap eats? Thanks.
