Bringing food into Dodger Stadium? We hit at least one game every season and I've never been patted down. |

Bringing food into Dodger Stadium? We bring flasks of liquor in all the time - just keep it in the pocket and they'll never know. It's saves money and you won't have to get up to use the restroom as often. |

group lunch place Pasadena area for soccer team Definitely stay AWAY from Burger Continental. It may have been good at one time (15years ago?) but it's horrid these days. Slow service and bland food. The Hat is a good rec. Barney's Beanery in Oldtown is good for large groups too. ----- |

source for dried facing-heaven chiles (Sichuan) All of the local 99 Ranch markets have them - as well as thousands of other amazing things. ----- |

Read Anthony Bourdain's book "Kitchen Confidential" and you will never eat swordfish again. |

The fish tacos at Dona Rosa are decent. Especially with some of their habanero salsa added. ----- |

Classy piano bar / jass club for after dinner drinks We are headed to Cut tomorrow evening for dinner and are looking for a nice, classy piano bar, jazz club, or other similar location to relax and listen to some adult music while having a cocktail or two. Preferably something in downtown, Hollywood, etc. |

Any truck recs for a school movie night in Pasadena? The Grilled Cheese Truck hits Pasadena once or twice a month. You might email them about making a stop at your event. They are always looking for friendly locations to stop and setup shop. |

Fairly cheap ocean front restaurant in Santa Monica??? Help! It's about a 25 mile drive north on PCH, but Neptune's Net in Malabu is a good, cheap seafood shack right on the highway with a great view of the ocean. I had a basket of fried clam strips there on Sunday that really hit the spot. The only negative to this place are the awful port-a-potty "restrooms" which some can't deal with. YMMV. |

Brits needs to be on this list. The best English style fish and chips in the area. ----- |

Na, King Taco has been at that location for at least 10 years now. |

Has anyone tried Big City Hot Dogs in Old Town Pasadena? I think it's next to King Taco. |

Burger Continental in Pasadena---What's the deal? The food and service at BC has been abysmal for at least 10 years now. FOr the life of me I can't understand why people go here. ----- |

Brits on Colorado has the best British pub food in the are - especially their fish and chips!!! ----- |

Yes, Thaitalian closed over a year ago. That location is now Naga Naga - a very mediocre ramen shop. |

Fish & Chips: The Redwood Revisited Are you referring to the Redwood Bar and Grill in LA? Edit: CHOW link added ----- |

Lunch in Pasadena for about $10-$15/person I beg to differ about Burger Continental - it's in the price range, but the food is so sub par that I would recommend the OP stays away. For the life of me I can't figure out why people still go here. A good option (and one that I've mentioned here many times over the years) is Brits on Colorado Blvd. ----- |

Where to buy soft shell crabs to prep at home? Bristol Farms carries them fresh when in season. Gelsons in Pasadena has them frozen. |

Here is the CHOW link for the Bahooka (while I love). ----- |

A few more... WurstKuche is different. I like the rattlesnake and rabbit sausage. They also have a lot of great German beer on tap that can be ordered by the liter. And I haven't been there, but I've heard Saki House Miro is interesting. They have a Star Wars themed pachinko machine! ----- Wurstkuche |

Best hot sauce in the LA area? Bottled or not. Another vote for the salsa roja at King Taco. The stuff is HOT and has great flavor. I only wish they weren't so stingy with it. I would buy if by the pint if I could. I'm also fond of the red hot sauce at Burrito Express in Pasadena. And they DO sell it by the pint!!! |

What do you like at Farfalla in Los Feliz? I LOVE their Penne Alla Arrabiata!!! Spicy, garlicky, and goes great with their house chianti. I can also vouch for the Farfella Al Salmone Affumicato Piselli, which is "bowtie pasta with .smoked salmon and peas in a light vodka pink sauce". It's wonderful. I personally thought their pesto, which is creamy and includes shallots (?), was very odd and two strong in flavor. Good, simple, traditional pesto is so hard to come by. |

Ranch 99 markets (many locations, see Google) carry an assortment Soo brand Chinese Jerky (pork, beef and salmon). |
