Good Bar with Craft Beer and Good Food to Watch the Ranger Game Tonight
Beerparc on 6th avenue will have it in on their big screen outside and has food and beer vendors.
Good Bar with Craft Beer and Good Food to Watch the Ranger Game Tonight
Cannibal is an excellent choice but call ahead just to double check the game will be on. They don't show sports regularly- just the big games...obviously this game is huge but I would still double check.
Another option is Wildwood. Tons of TVs, lots of beer choices and decent BBQ. I love their dirty bird sandwich personally. It also has a lot more room if Cannibal is packed.
Best Steak Tartare in city
My favorites are at Blue Ribbon Bakery, the Dutch (although I no longer see it on their menu) and Quality Meats. The Cannibal has a unique veal tartare that is pretty wonderful as well.
Looking for a Restaurant near the Javits Center
I will second Il Punto- cute space, good pasta and good wines (if you can drink at lunch).
Also around the corner from there is Ovest Pizzateca on 27th btw 10th & 11th. Has some good wood fired pizza.
Another place nearby is Gastro market on 10th btw 27th & 28th. The menu looks great and I know they were amost finished with a gorgeous garden out back last week when I stopped in. I have yet to eat there yet however since I had just eaten at Il Punto when I saw the space.
Brunch Suggestions - Brooklyn Bridge or High Line
I haven't been yet but I know Gran Electrica in DUMBO just started serving lunch and they have an outdoor graden. Could be perfect for this upcoming warm weather weekend...followed by a walk across the bridge into Manhattan.
Special Lunch in NYC
Marea- not stuffy (compared to the others)- park view and delicious.
Lamb's Club - What was I thinking and why didn't I ask first!?
Wow- I glanced at their lunch menu yesterday outside on a break from the MCC and kept going since the Steak Tartare was no where to be found.. Glad I did apparently.
Dinner Rec needed - party of 10 in Gramercy or Flatiron
A little further over on 3rd Inoteca Liquori could be good. You could get a bunch of small plates and they have a few big round tables (I Think) or ask to reserve some of the bar up front.
Also what about Eataly? Depedning on the day you could have a great time in the Piazza. If it's a Monday or Tuesday its usually quite empty and you could relax a bit among the tables.
Suggestions for afternoon drinks/appetizers this weekend?
Outdoor space in the afternoon makes me think of the Standard. It usually doesn't get crazy busy until dark and since you need to purchase drink tickets it's easy for people to come and go without worrying about the bill.
best vegan food
I was also going to suggest Blossom and I think One Lucky Duck has a lot of take away vegan options.
great place to get friends together for drinks/apps? Pref. UWS
Maybe Tangled Vine? They have a great happy hour which might fit your bill.

Where to watch soccer (Premier League football) on Sunday?
Nevada Smith's is where a lot of people go to watch the games- it's loud and packed- no food I don't think- note it moved to 125 East 11th street.
McCormick's on 3rd and 27th- Serves breakfast, will have people but less rowdy I believe than Nevada Smiths.
I think the Old Castle & Pub on 57th Street may also have the game on. I'd call and check.
Best Specialty Slice of Pizza in NY
I actually have had pretty great Buffalo Chicken slices at both Uncle Mario's in Hell's Kitchen and
at New York Pizza Suprema near the garden.
East Coast Canadians Visiting NYC May 26 - 30 NEED HELP!
For fried chicken I highly suggest Blue Ribbon- I think it's the best in the city.
As far as your area is concerned you are hitting the city at a great time of year when Mad. Sq. Eats is going on right around Madion and 25th street. There are a ton of food options here including tacos from Calexico, wonderful smoked beef brisket sandwiches from Mile End (Actually a canadian import so maybe not something you need to try). Lots of craft beers and just a good place to sit outside in the sun and enjoy the city. You can also get pizza from Roberta's there which would fit your pizza fix as well.

For something near you and different maybe check out Mad for Chicken. Located on the 2nd floor of an office building it has the best Korean Fried Chicken going. I can't even do justice to how delcious it is. Plus it's a fun atmophere that I don't think you'll find anywhere else.

Enjoy!!
Good sit down lunch and happy hour spots near 48th & 8th?
Ended up at Danji for lunch today. This place was on my radar for a while then fell off. So so glad to finally go. The tofu was unreal! I can't wait to take my vegetarian friends here to try it out. The lamb sliders were delicious as well but oh my that tofu... Great rec.
Good sit down lunch and happy hour spots near 48th & 8th?
I'll be working up near 48th & 8th this week and I would love to check some new stuff out. I was thinking Toloache for lunch one day and maybe happy hour at the Russian Vodka Room? Any suggestions for the other days? I'll have about an hour for lunch each day- nothing crazy like Le Bernardin but more than just a sandiwch place- thanks!
best wing spot in gramercy park area
For delivery we usually do Atomic Wings right between 23rd & 24th on Lex or Best Wingers for buffalo wings- those are your best best. For other types of wings Wildwood has some pretty good BBQ and some people love Pete's Tavern (I don't they have a strange flavor to me but try them out I guess)
Empellon Cocina Review
$12 is a lot of money for guacamole however I thought Empellon's was fanatstic. I loved the nuttiness of the pistachios inside...not to say you couldn't go here once and recreate this dish at home for cheaper!
As everyone said the squid was amazing and my heart just about stopped when I had the lobster and cheese. The Tongue Sopes with Refried Beans and Salsa de Arbol were also delciious. The gordita would have been fantastic if the egg had been runny. Overall however a great meal- albeit pricey for sure.
10th Anniversary Dinner, where to go ?
What do you mean by not fussy. Babbo and Manzo come to mind for Italian but would that be too fussy for you? Or maybe Peasent would be more the speed you're looking for?
Birthday Dinner recs in Chelsea/Flatiron for this Saturday?
I'm not giving up! Kibo AND Barbounia both have availability that night and are in the area. Both have fun decor and lively atmosphere. I have not eaten at Kibo yet but it got a nice review for it's grilled meats.
Birthday Dinner recs in Chelsea/Flatiron for this Saturday?
If she likes Buddakan and Rosa then why not take her to the Hurricane Club? It's similar in decor and atmosphere to both and is right near Gotham Comedy Club. IT's very fun for festive occasions.
Beef Carpaccio? Where's the best ?
Craft has a Wagyu Beef Carpaccio that is absolutly wonderful! My favorite in the city thus far.
Question regarding lunch at Babbo
Very excited! Plan to go on Thursday myself! Any idea what's on the menu? I can't find any information about it on the website.
The Central Park Boathouse
Yes. The place is terrible which is really too bad since it is such a lovely setting.
Baby Shower Brunch or Lunch for 8
Look into Inoteca on the LES maybe? They have a private room dowstairs and a prix fix.
Help a newbie: Reservations and recommendations for Prix Fixe lunch at fancy restaurants?
The 3 course Prix- Fix at ABC Kitchen is delicious and in a lively but laid back place- it sounds like exactly what you want. I have gone to lunch there about five or six times now and still don't get sick of anything they offer- it only gets better.
I haven't been to Aldea in a year or so but it was for the lunch and the meal was wonderful. The banana passion fruit tart to end in particular blew my mind and I'm not even a huge fruit dessert fan.
Del Posto is great but...If you are already on the fence with the price and you dislike pretentious service and stuffiness it might be a tad too much for you.
Manzo just started a 3 course lunch menu for $29 that looks great although I have yet to try it.
The porcini flan at Bouley is amazing.
Flatiron / Gramercy area - need restaurant suggestion for simple fish, chicken or pasta.
Hmmm Giorgio's of Gramercy had good chicken and pasta- it's also small enough I wouldn't be worried to ask the chef to make something special. Il Pesce at Eataly and Barbounia do a whole grilled fish...just ask them to go light on the olive oil as both have a heavy hamd.
Seeking (another) Group Dinner Rec
I was there last Thursday night (where many people had off the next day) and the place was packed but not overcrowded. It was certainly a lively atmosphere and the tables and bar was filled but I didn't think it was too much. Is this the kind of info you wanted?
Night out for new parents - restaurant suggestions?
Can you give us more detail? Price range, area, cuisine preference? There are thousands of places that could fit the bill.
Early Chicken Inconsistencies at The NoMad
I'm going back tomorrow and plan on ordering the chicken again so I'll try and report back but I will say your skin looks darker than mine was the first time I ordered.
