I think LAMill makes blends for a couple of restaurants, wihch blends may be available only at those restaurants - such as Providence's LAMill blend. I am curious whether Hatfield's LAMill blend is likewise only available at Hatfield's.

I live in Santa Monica, CA - my fishmonger (Santa Monica Seafood) happens to carry Copper River salmon. It is hard to find. When you find it, assuming it has been handled correctly, it is worth every penny. IMHO, it is the best salmon in the world.(Apologies to the board administrator for the digression.)

This will be my first time, so I am researching like you. I have read the related exchanges elsewhere on this website, and although some of the reviews/suggestions are from previous years (I am keeping in mind that the reviews do not reflect the wineries current releases), my current list comes mostly from the Dundee Hills area of WV. They are:

Adelsheim
Torii Mor
Archery Summit
Domaine Drouhin
Penner Ash
Winter's Hill

Cheers. Signing off to cook a gorgeous piece of Copper River salmon for dinner with a side of Judion beans. This site always makes me hungry.

I have heard good things about the farm-to-table restaurant by the name of Belly located in downtown Eugene. I too will be heading up that way soon, so I will be keeping an eye on this exchange for sure. I have heard of an inn in Dundee, OR, which is over an hour north from Eugene - The Inn at Red Hills, Dundee, OR (503-538-7970), but this is probably too far from Eugene for you.

You are in luck if you live near Venice. Equator Books on Abbot Kinney just opened their cafe and now serves Blue Bottle. They had a guy down from the SF Hayes Valley Mothership to train the barristas not too long ago. You will have to judge for yourself whether they are up to snuff. Until recently, I had been satisfying myself with Urth's Italia roast and Intelligensia Coffee; otherwise, I like to brew Peet's Major Dickenson coffee in my French Press.
