We have tried to go there 3 times. The first time it was closed for a private party. Then the next time we went they would not let us in because they were short on food. And the next time we tried they were short on chefs!!We also read good reviews in the paper but 3 strikes and you are out!! Los Mariachas which is nearby is a great little find with authentic mexican food and great margaritas and chips and salsa.

Anyone have a bad experience at Portofinos in Hew Haven? We had a very expensive meal which was awful. We followed up with a letter explaining our disgusting meal in detail. We have not heard from them with an apology or a revisit for another meal.

Taste of China in Clinton is very good. Interesting menu and a fabulous selection of BEER!!
