A ramen place is opening up in the 360 Cafe location adjacent to Pho Van. I believe it is called Ta Tsu Mya? I tried googling but no luck on any info! |

My roommates and I live close by and we would get a whole lot of their flyers on our door and we always found the cartoonish pizza peddler drawing to be really really creepy. We always made jokes that when we jog at night, the pizza peddler would be following us. It's silly, but that drawing was weird lol. |

East Side Pies is opening a third location at 1809 Anderson Ln., where the ol' creepy Pizza Peddler used to be. Another awesome win for our neighborhood! |

I had the same experience at Braise a few weeks ago. I bought the groupon for me and my family to have my graduation dinner at. I really wish I could get my 100 bucks back. The waitstaff was very awkward and just really rubbed me the wrong way. One guy who picked up our plates and refilled drinks was so rude and pretty much yelled at me to tell me that the bathrooms were down the outside hall. The food was a miss. My dad got the brussel sprouts and portobella dinner plate and there was only a tiny sliver of mushroom and a couple of sprouts. I had the pork shoulder that tasted exactly like my moms pork roast she used to make in the crock pot that I really can't stand. My mom had trout and spehgetti that was okay, really acidic and upset her stomach. My boyfriend had the pork chop and it was cooked well done, but he likes it that way. All of the apps were forgettable. It took them 30 minutes to bring out our desserts and we had already ordered some coffee so my dad asked if they could refill due to the slow dessert, I assumed that it would be a free coffee but nahhh still charged us another $10. I just wanted to take my parents out to experience "fine dining" but it ended up being a bust. |

I've never eaten here and as I've read, the reviews are pretty mixed. I was thinking about purchasing this for my graduation dinner. Do y'all think this is a good value? It's $99 for 4 people and a 4 course meal. My parents aren't foodies, but they love all sorts of food and I'd like to treat them to something nice since they've never really experienced finer Austin food. I'd love to hear your opinions! |

I stopped by for the promising in house made ice cream that they had a sign out front for in the sweltering 108 heat. No one was there except for a few at the bar which I guess would be normal because it was 4pm. I had cardamom ice cream and the bf had blueberry. It was tasty, but weird cream bits were left un-churned leaving a really waxy film in my mouth. Had the snake bite for a beer, it was alright. I would probably go back to check out the menu for lunch. |

Got word that the Screaming Goat has closed, so sad. I don't know where il get my dollar Dos Equis and drowning flautas. My favorite salsa in town too, very saddening. ----- |

I personally favor Dans or Frans for my diner style burgers, I can never get enough of those dern things. For the thicker patty I love parkside. I also enjoy the verde burger at The Screaming Goat, as I am a sucker for any burger with jalapenos. My all time favorite burger currently is in San Marcos, thus it doesn't technically qualify, but The Taproom has been slangin' quality burgers for awhile with no stray a ways. Good prices, and on Thursday it is buy a burger get a free pint! I've heard mixed reviews on Hopdoddy's, someone tell me what's good there please. ----- |

Not south at all, but Pho Van takes my vote for awesome Bahn Mi. ----- |

Agree on Root Cellar, its a little expensive but still good. Recommend the pasta dishes for the best price and amount of food. The Coffee Pot in the square is good for sandwiches and OK coffee...pricey. I love Los Cucos and will forever, best salsa IMO. |
