San Diego CLOSED Restaurants - Replacement for old board.

According to various folks on twitter, yes.

Also, Thai Joint in Normal Heights has closed, moving a few blocks west to 3190 Adams, re-opening as Prana Thai.

San Diego - Great weather, but where is the outside dining?

San Diego city permit fees for a patio are in the (ridiculous) $10K range: http://www.10news.com/news/31040404/d.... Hopefully this can be reduced and we'll see more patios in the future. Now if we could just get more warm evenings...

what are your favorite places on (or off) adams ave?

Hanna's cafe near twiggs on adams is worthy of this list. Great sandwiches in a cozy spot. Try the curry chicken salad, rosemary chicken or grilled veggie ones, all on tasty focaccia bread.

Dinner at Bice 1/29/2010

we ate there on 1/22 and though it was quite busy, we were seated promptly. no loud music, excellent service and we all enjoyed our appetizers and entrees, including a couple of hard-to-please diners in our party. strange that our experience was so different.

there's no excuse for the excessive valet fee or long wait to be seated, but the review sounds a bit familiar - a san francisco (or LA) visitor reminding us of san diego's place in the dining pecking order. we get it.

San Diego Closed restaurants from the Down Economy

according to frank sabatini in gay and lesbian times, the owners nearly doubled apertivo's rent, to close to 5K/month. north park is booming, but still... an interesting move given the overall economy, i guess.
