BEST BUFFETS LUNCH OR DINNER IN THE STRIP HOTELS?
My husband and I heading to vegas in a little over a week. The Studio B was my top buffet priority, but I can't figure out to get there. What is the best way to get to the M from the strip?
If one HAD to pick a buffet in Vegas...
My husband and I are headed to Vegas in a little over a week. I want to go to Studio B at the M but I can't figure out how to get there from the strip. How did you get there or how would you recommend getting there?
Key Lime PIe in Key West.....
My husband and I will be going down to Key West in couple of weeks and I want to try Key Lime Pie. I had put the Blonde Giraffe on my list of places to go but i saw on a post that it closed in November. Would the next best place be the Key West Key Lime Company or is there another place that would be better?
We also have choice of dining at either Commodore's, Pisces, or Duffy's for dinner one night, and was wondering which would be the best choice. My husband's company is paying for it so price won't be an issue.
HELP?! Alton Brown Turkey Temperature
I am making my first Thanksgiving and have decided to make Alton Brown's Brined and Roasted Turkey because it has gotten so many rave reviews. However I am in a predicament. It seems his cooking times for the turkey have changed over the past 10 years. In his original show with the turkey he puts a foil triangle over the breast and cooks it to 161. But last night on a Food Network Thanksgiving Special he made the same bird but without the foil triangle and cooked it to 151. After letting it rest for 15 minutes the temp had risen to 161.
So my question, which way should I cook my turkey? To 161 w/the foil triangle or 151 without the triaingle?
Subbing ground for whole spices in Brine?
There is a brine I am planning on using for my turkey on Thanksgiving. However it calls for whole allspice berries and crystalized ginger. I curently only have ground versions of those and was wondering if the brine would still work correctly if i just used what I have, or if it would be better to get what the recipe specifically calls for.
