Blue Cornmeal. Any ideas?

Blue Corn Crepes. Not very Mexican...but still along the "masa" theme. It's a Martha thing.

Blue Cornmeal. Any ideas?

Thanks so much for that info. I'll try both.

Blue Cornmeal. Any ideas?

Still going along with my Mexican theme post on dried corn husks, does anyone have any idea where I might be able to purchase blue cornmeal in Toronto. I'm willing to drive just about anywhere. I could substitute regular cornmeal, but I'm looking for that slight "wow factor".

Dried Corn Husks for Tamales

Does anyone know where I might be able to purchase dried corn husks to prepare tiny tamale appetizers. I'm trying to get it together for a Mexican-themed party chez moi. Please don't tell me to go to the grocery store and ask the produce manager for their picked-over corn from last week. Any other alternatives are welcome.

They make the most delicious gingerbread cakes and cupcakes. Their products have actually been featured in the Williams-Sonoma catalogue. Pretty amazing for a small Canadian company. They are absolutely brilliant. Check out their website. I guarantee, you'll be addicted! I know I am!

Craving the Red Devil's Pink Lemonade Barbecue Sauce

Thanks! I'll give them a try!

Craving the Red Devil's Pink Lemonade Barbecue Sauce

Does anyone remember the Red Devil restaurant in front of Sherway Gardens? It's been gone for years and I believe that it is now an East Side Mario's. I never cared too much for the gimmicky Red Devil restaurant itself with its wall of hot sauces; however I do remember enjoying their Pink Lemonade Barbecue Sauce. It had a certain sweet tang that I find myself oddly craving in the height of barbecue season. Can you suggest a not-so kitschy steakhouse that might just have more "interesting" taste offerings for ribs? Or might someone be able to suggest a recipe for a pink lemonade barbecue sauce?

Kobe Beef

Thanks! I don't know what I was thinking. I forgot all about the "All the Best" stores at 1099 Yonge. I'll try them as well.

Kobe Beef

Just looking for a reason to eat a burger. I just watched a show about recreating a $50 New York City burger made of Kobe beef with a foie gras centre. The height of decadence! I know of a few places where I can buy the foie gras, but have yet to come across someone who sells Kobe beef

Kobe Beef

Does anyone know where and if I might be able to purchase Kobe Beef burgers in Toronto that are ready for the grill? The last time I had Kobe beef was at Nobu in Las Vegas. I thought that I had died and gone to heaven. I'm desperately trying to relive that sensation again.
