Buying Gas range for propane use
I'm building a new house in the mountains, where power failures are not infrequent and natural gas is non-existent. We've decided to go with an all gas or dual fuel slide-in range and the 2 models I'm considering are the Frigidaire FGGS3065K and the Bosch HDI7282U. I know people have said you can figure out the expected BTU loss for LP conversions by checking the manufacturers' websites, but I've not had ANY success doing that. It took Frigidaire's customer service 24 hours to figure out that the Frigidaire would lose 10-25%, where the power burner went from 17K to 14K! I'm still waiting for Bosch.
We were hoping to spend under $2000 but will go up to $2500 to get good results. Does any one have any experience with these ranges on propane, or could anyone suggest a good alternative in our price range?
Purchasing New French Door Fridge TODAY -- Any Advice?
I saw a Samsung French door at Lowes. The saleswoman there seemed to be very knowledgable and helpful and said that the Samsungs had had the fewest reported problems of the brands they sell. They're also priced well. We're looking at the platinum color (fake magnetic stainless). Has anyone had any experience with Samsung refrigerators?
