Mooyah - A Proper In-and-Out Replacement
New Bay Area transplant that needed to find an In-and-Out replacement. Mission Accomplished!
I love burgers and have read the reviews on the variety of great burger places in Austin. Always a debate between thick and thin patties and fries. If you are the thin/thin type - thin patties, this and crispy fries then a great place to try is Mooyah on Reseach and Burnet. If you are a closet In-and-Out fan and waiting for the day they land in Austin (never) then Mooyah in my opinion is even better. Why? They have bacon to add to their excellent In-and-Out Double Double with much better fries than In-and-Out. Takes a little bit of time to get your freshly made yummy greasy goodness but it's worth it. Check it out!

New Bay Area Transplant Needs Sichuan Badly
Hello Everyone,
I recently moved back to Austin after 7 years in the California Bay Area. Wow, was I spoiled by the great Asian food there. I have looked through old posts and have good ideas where to go for tasty dim sung and xiaolongbao. What I did not see is whether there is a good place in town for spicy Sichuan food. In particular, I am looking for outstanding Ma Pa Tofu?(Spicy Tofu with Pork) and Ganbian Sijidou (Dry Sichuan Green Beans). Any help would be most appreciated!
Thanks or more appropriately, Xiexie!
