Decent Gyro in Brampton area???
Hey Duck , thanks for the tips. Went on gyros mission , first , hole in the wall does describe Falafel Gardens .....drove past it 3 times .... good owner inside, friendly and wants you there... not like most fast food joints around here. Had a falafel pita *& a gyro ...both a bit small , but not real expensive either. Both were good and I'd go back.
Next day , onto Vita Pita (easier to find LOL) . If I thought the last owner was a good guy , Vita's guy (fred) is over the top happy. He went thru the menu for me , everything fresh and homemade , I ordered chicken swarma & a gyro . Being a former food Place owner/operator , it is so good to see a guy who's life IS his place. He served up about 6 samples while getting my order together , to make sure I had a good idea of what was available next time. He also wondered how I heard about Vita.... 'cuz he'd never seen me before in the six years he'd been there. BTW the food was great. He also serves the sweet sauce (east coast style??) donairs (not my cuppa tea , garlic & hot sauce here). Will definately go back, theres a few other taste treats to try .
Haven't made it to the Firepit , but the next craving will head me there
Thanks
Decent Gyro in Brampton area???
The greek place at Kennedy & queen has folded up, needed two days to recover from the Gyro at Pitaland . (swear it was chopped cat food). Need a gyro fix ....the kind that is actually sliced off ..., not a chunk carved off & chopped on a grill.
Thanx
fried pork rinds
The Southern-fried scourge of the food pyramid , anyone seen them in the Brampton area , ....they seemed to have disappeared of the map , at least in the big stores. Good eats on a low carb regimen.
