There was a pool hall in the NE north of Costco on 32 st called JR's. They served a good honey garlic flavor of wings. I'm not sure if this place still exists. |

I'll have to try Dhalia's. There is review on Urbanspoon. Complaining about the portion sizes of the sandwiche's. In Calgary, the King of Subs was a great place for Montreal Smoked Meat. Recently I ordered one and it was probably half the size it used to be for about 2 or more dollars as well. I'm also finding many products at the grocery store following this trend. |

Recently I moved to Edmonton and was overwhelmed with all the Donair and Shawarma places. It seems like you find at least one on every major intersection. Travelling through the Northwest I came across Sun Bake Pita Bakery. Named after a famous Lebanese Bakery I thought I'd try it out. All of the pies(minus the Fatayer) on the menu are made in front of your eyes and freshly baked. Coming from Calgary I'm used to Pita Bakeries reheating zaatar and meat pies. To eat one fresh is a real treat. They also serve Shawarma wrapped in Baladi or Saj bread which is much thinner than tradional pita but tastes better. Unfortunatly the chicken was still cooking. I would have to say this is by far the best Lebanese food I've had here in Edmonton and I'll definatly be back. Cheers! |

Good Seafood in Vancouver and/or Island. I'll be visiting the mainland and island in late April. I'd like to try good Pacific seafood. I'm wondering if anyone out there has any good suggestions. Suggestions for authentic Chinese restaurants would be greatly appreciated as well. Thanks eh. |

Monday Night Wings in Calgary? Does anyone know of any good places other than franchise restaurants to go for wings on a Monday? Cheap wings is a bonus but I'd much rather prefer quality and good taste. Thanks a bunch. |

Old Dutch Crispy Bacon Flavored Chips That particular flavor is a hard find. One store out of five may carry them. I get mine at Co-op or independent grocers. |

Pre made Christmas Dinner (Calgary) More Than Meats on 11th St sell smoked Duck. It is fabulous but note that its pre order and costs you around 30 bucks. |

Canned green chilis in Calgary Does anyone know where I can get canned green chilis. I'm looking to make chili squares out of them and I'm not too keen on bottled ones or the sliced jalapeno found in grocery stores. |

where to eat pasta in Toronto? I'm visiting Toronto in the next month and I would like to surprise my wife by taking her somewhere that actually specializes in pasta. We are very adventurous with our food and I'm looking for someplace unique and memorable. |

In my years living in calgary I have never really tried authentic chinese food. Sun's BBQ resteraunt is the closest I've come. They cook excellent duck. Is there anywhere I can go for a home cooked Chinese dinner in Calgary? |

New Food hole in the Calgary Beltline. I was walking down 11th St the other day and i saw this place a few doors north of the Galaxy Diner. Its called More Than Meats. They do Lebanese food. Nothing great about that I thought but had to go in and check it out. I sampled their Hummus. It was the best I've ever tried hands down!! They're promoting the 100 mile diet by using locally produced ingredients in their foods. They tell me their meats are farm fresh and received weekly from the slaughterhouse. I can't see their chickpeas or grape leaves being locally produced but these guys are trying and their prices are just as competitive as the Shawarma knight and Falafel King. I won't even compare Homemade Hummus and Baba Ghanouj to industrially made dips from the supermarket chains. McGlutton |

T&T market sells farm raised Atlantic Salmon for their Sashimi. Its a high quality cut that starts around 18 bucks and drops in price as it gets older. Only CIty Fish will sell wild Pacific Salmon but then again they only do wholesale. My guess is to try the fish vendor at the Currie Barracks or talk to your local grocer to find it for you. |
