Pre theater greek (or) and post theater desserts/sweets?
Help! We're going to be in the city for a few days this week. Going to show on Friday night. Looking for $20-35 per person pre-theater dinner (had Uncle Nick's last time - it was great, may go there again, but wondering if there's anything else we shouldn't miss?). After the show, would like to get dessert / something sweet on the way back to hotel in FiDi, so open to just about anything... Suggestions? thank you very much!

Best Seafood in Savannah?
I'm back from the trip, and had a great time, food-wise and other-wise...
Found two places that we really enjoyed...
First, the "fried" dive we were looking for - not the best, but certainly compared to AZ, we were very happy with Carey Hilliards... Had fried flounder and white fish, very good!
Second, we went on Tybee Island to The Crab Shack, and thoroughly enjoyed the crab legs, the shrimp, and the deviled crab! Loved the location, decor, atmosphere, etc... but really enjoyed the shrimp and crab. The spice they use to cook it in flavors it just right!
Best Seafood in Savannah?
Thank you both for your suggestions. I will have a rental car, so I can travel out to Tybee or down the interstate as suggested. I appreciate the help!
Definitely interested more in the local fried dive as opposed to a "fancy fish" place... Originally from NC, where the fishcamps are on many corners... Really looking for a place where you can get 3-4 choices on a fried platter of some sort...
thanks again!
Best Seafood in Savannah?
Really enjoy great fried shrimp, devil crab, and good fried fish!
Best Seafood in Savannah?
I'll be in Savannah for one night only in mid-May. Living in the desert now, so NO good fried seafood out here... Where can I find the best in Savannah? Thanks!
Help/judge my 3-day food itinerary for mid-November
Thanks for the tip on Kossar's. Saturday night we're still wide open on which cuisine, other than not really looking for any Mexican/Southwest foods, as we have those here at home... From what I've mentioned above (and what's left out), what would you suggest? We do enjoy seafood, and that's something we don't get much of here in the desert. But it doesn't ahve to be seafood... Any essential NY only place we need to hit? Thanks for your help!
Help/judge my 3-day food itinerary for mid-November
I'll be in NYC for 4 nights in mid Nov., and based on all of the excellent discussions on this board, here's what I've come up with so far. Let me know what you think. Anything I should definitely change/skip/add? We're definitely "budget minded," but don't mind spending extra for a good meal or two...
After arriving on midweek evening and checking in to hotel in Financial District near Brooklyn Bridge, we plan on walking over the bridge to Grimaldi's for the pizza. Wouldn't mind walking/subway for a good dessert after this before heading back to the hotel. Any suggestions?
Next day's breakfast at Clinton St. Bakery. Lunch will be depending on where we are on our see-as-much-as-possible touring day, so that's kind of open. If close by one, we're thinking Shake Shack (or Crif Dogs, if close). Supper that night will be pre-theater at either Uncle Nick's or Uncle Nick's Ouzaria - which do you suggest? Then for snacks after the theater, we're planning on going to Pommes Frites for the salty and Chikalicous for the sweet.
Next day's breakfast is open or at hotel, lunch is Katz (pastrami), followed by a walk past (thru) Economy Candy on our way to Sugar Sweet Sunshine for dessert. Supper that night is pre-Madison Square Garden sports event, so we're going to try out Szechuan Gourmet. Again, any must hit dessert place after the Garden that you'd suggest?
Next day's breakfast is open, possibly Balthazar or Donut Plant & Kossar's. Lunch will be the burger at Peter Luger's, and we're still looking for supper on this (Saturday) night.
Suggestions needed! We're not big travelers by any stretch of the imagination, so not sure what to expect at all. At the places I've listed so far, any dress codes to worry about? Any reservations needed at any of these places? Have read so much about Momofuku ssam and Milk. Maybe here Sat night? Any other MUST HIT place, or somewhere you'd change/drop/add? Thanks again for your suggestions.

1st stay in city, staying near Wall St., eat anything...
Hi, my wife & I will be coming to the City in mid-Nov for a Wed pm - Sun am stay. We have a game at MSG one night, a trip to the theater one night, and are looking to "taste New York" on a relatively cheap budget. We usually don't spend much on breakfast & lunch, trying to stay at or under $30 pp for evening meals, but certianly open to one "nice" night out (or even two), maybe pre-theater on Thu night, or Sat night...(but probably want to stay under $50 pp) We're staying near Wall St., and are open to traveling anywhere in the city. We certainly want to try Katz (pastrami or corned beef? - we're thinking of splitting both?), but that's about the only must-do so far. We're from the Southwest, so not interested in Mexican food on this trip... Also, maybe a place or two w/in walking distance of Wall St. and Williams. Would love seafood (there's not much in the desert!) and anything that is NY. Definitely want to get some NY Pizza, have seen + & - about Lombardi's, Grimaldi's, and just saw a VERY short blurb about Arturo's? Can you help us out? Pizza, seafood, and whatever you all suggest - we like to eat, and are open to any cuisines! We'll be trying to see a lot of the regular "tourist" stuff while there, so any good eats by any of the famous spots (central park, time square, etc...) Off the beaten path is fine as well! Thanks so much for your help! Greatly appreciated! We're looking forward to your help and expertise, and to our visit to the City!
