NY Foodies coming to NOLA

Find a way to make it to Domenica for dinner and order off the small/large plates menu instead of the entrees menu. It's John Besh's new restaurant and it's amazing! Get the risotto, the pasta with fried chicken livers and the gnocci. Maybe drop Elizabeth's for dinner, it's more of a lunch place. And go to Willie Mae's for lunch and be ready for some delicious fried chicken!

NY foodie coming to New Orleans looking for CANT miss places- Help me with my itinerary please

Glad you had such a delicious time here in our city! Spread the word!

Ok The reservations are made now what to order!

I did the degustation at August and everything was amazing. It's expensive, but if it fits into your budget it is absolutely worth every penny. And it's a really fun way to enjoy a meal.

Help me avoid tourist traps!

If at all possible you really must go to Willie Mae's Scotch House. No direct web site but google it and you'll find plenty of articles praising it. The fried chicken is particularly famous. It's a bit off the beaten path and you will have to drive through a neighborhood that looks a little sketchy. But go during the day and it's really easy to find and you won't have any problems. If you're looking for a local lunch experience there's none better. You won't be sorry.
