Jazz Fest

Lived two blocks from the Fest for 6 years and this will be our 19th in a row. Incredible line up this year. I'll touch on places outside of the Fairgrounds and local - not fancy fare- Go to both of the Liuzzas - By the Track only during the week, not on the weekends - best gumbo in the city. Liuzzas on Bienville (mid City) - great local fare for locals. Drago's in Metairie/Fat City and Hilton Riverwalk for bbq oysters. Uptown - Frankie & Johnny's (crawfish) and Domilise's (po-boys). Tujagues, Irene's, and the 10Cent Martini's at Mr. B's in French Quarter. Stay away from Bayona - don't need anymore competition to get in!

Las Vegas - Bartolotta review

Sorry to disappoint. Our service, server, and meal were just average. The server wanted to be any place but helping his guests - and the service was slow. We had the Arugula Salad, Pasta w/lobster appy, and Turbo fish for dinner. We ordered potatoes and zucchini with the turbo fish that obviously had been sitting under the warming light for too long. Our reservation was at 5:30 pm - so really uncalled for. Our wine was very good - but at almost $300 for dinner - go some place else.

Fra'mani "savory meatloaf" at SF Costco

I purchased the turkey meatloaf at Costco, but separated the two meals and threw away the instructions... duh. Will someone post the cooking instructions - preferably the oven directions. Thanks.
