New Comer to Town
All the suggestions seem pretty good, but Lombardi's Pizza in Little Italy was not mentioned and a person must try Lombardi's. No pizza like it in the world. Truly a slice of NYC.
Old fashioned Red Sauce Italian Restaurant
Unfortunately, SADLY and did I saw UNFORTUNATELY for us all who grew up with Monte's it's now gone. I don't know what happened or why? Anybody know anything? Monte's was the real deal. Ate there as a little kid and up through early teens. Real Italian...Angelo and Angelina and their family....what history. So sad. Put all other Italian restaurants to shame.
Best Authentic Jewish Deli
Are you kidding about the "fat" in the Patrami at Katz's? C'mon. Fat is FLAVA, FLAVA, FLAVA. It is the quintessential Jewish Deli.
