BBQ in CT
Scargod,
This was an honest opinion based on my own experience in BBQ. I don't think anyone expects ribs to be boiled (even New Englanders), unless they go to an Applebee's or some such place. The fact remains that brisket should be juicy. The brisket I had was like a well-done sirloin.
Who know's? Maybe Wilson's had a bad day. Maybe they had their stuff sitting in a heat tray all day getting dry (which is frankly what it tasted like). I don't know. The bottom line is that the couple meals I've had from there have been awful.
Is there any good pizza in Stamford?
Thanks again for the info, CTB. A couple of points though:
First, I don't think I see eye to eye with the stamford pizza tour on much.
Second, I have to disagree with you on ridgeway pizza. I found their pizza to be very bland. If I'm being honest, I don't know if I could have told the difference between Ridgeway and Pappa John's.

Scotty, I totally agree. After reading stamford pizza tour, I am completely baffled. I think the vast majority of pizza in Stamford is plain awful. Yet this blog makes Stamford out to be something of a premier pizza spot.
I was amazed to read review after review, praising terrible pizza places. I found it to be totally amazing.
Is there any good pizza in Stamford?
I have lived in Stamford for almost three years now and still cannot find a great pizza place. There are two places that I do like very much, but they have their drawbacks: Colony and Spazzio.
I will admit that Colony's pizza is excellent. However, for one thing, it's a really unique pie with a crust that is so thin that it's crunchy. So, while it is excellent, it doesn't always satisfy my pizza cravings. Also, they don't deliver and they're even hard to order pickup from sometimes (they take the phone off the hook when busy).
Spazzio is a place I don't think many people are aware of (on Shippan). They make the more traditional neopolitan pie, but can be hit or miss.
So, please let me know who you think has the best pizza in Stamford. Thanks.
BBQ in CT
Unfortunately, I have to respectfully disagree with EricR. Wilson's is, without a doubt, the WORST barbecue I have ever tasted. The ribs and brisket are bone dry. The pork shoulder is cooked well, i.e. it is moist, tender, etc. However, it is completely unseasoned and has no flavor. The mac and cheese I had was also terrible. It was basically a bowl of oily macaroni with a piece of hard cheese resting on top.
I went to Wilson's for the first time about 6 months ago, and it was terrible. I decided to give it another chance, and it was terrible again. I will not be back.
