so they flat out refused to honor the BBE deal and allow you to order a la carte? you should write to BBE. that stinks.

How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days? Really? Did that even take place in NYC?

Dim Sum in Chinatown

for during the week, I would recommend Nom Wah since they make their dim sum dishes to order.

Oriental Garden isn't that expensive considering the quality.

I think the big places(Golden Unicorn, Jing Fong) serve during the week, but not sure how it is.

Le Bernardin - Three Strikes, It's Out!

i actually just wrote a short note under the "Private Dining- Request More Info" page of the website. I got a phone call a couple days later.

Le Bernardin - Three Strikes, It's Out!

i would call or write an email to the general manager. let them know of you less than stellar experience. i did the same at Per Se and the manager apologized profusely and offered me to come in a for a drink on her next time i am in the area.

Going to Marea tomorrow night. Do I do the price fixe? What to order?

i was disappointed by the ricci. all i tasted was the lardo.

if you like octopus and spice, try the octopus crudo. excellent.

the spaghetti is also great.

Ilili - Eastern Mediterranean near Mad Sq Pk

check out the brunch menu on the website.

the veal bacon was a winner!

Ilili - Eastern Mediterranean near Mad Sq Pk

agreed. they do a great brunch too.

i am looking forward to dinner there this weekend.

FYI - Jean-Georges is in the kitchen

i saw him poking his head in the dining room Thursday night a couple times. fantastic meal.

special anniversary dinner

I agree with the Jean Georges suggestion. I went last night for the GF's bday dinner.

We did the prix fixe. $98 for 3 course plus dessert. A ton of food, service was great. Well worth it.

Chinese New Year - dim sum get-together with relatives

depends how early you go. if you go before 11, it shouldn't be a problem for that size group. most places have pretty big tables.

Check out Golden Unicorn in Chinatown.

Restaurant week 2011 musts and must nots

I agree. With all of the other deals that are available, Blackboard Eats, Groupon, etc. Restaurant Week is no longer the bargain it used to be.

You don't get a good representation of the restaurant by eating off its RW menu.

devi?

skip devi. service is terrible

try a place in curry hill over on lexington bet 23rd & 29th or so.

if you want interesting, check out Chinese Mirch. just ate there the other day, delicious.

lots of good things to choose from.

skip the bacon snacks. limp and overly spiced

Ramen take out in Chelsea/Union Square/ Grand Central area?

i think almost all quality ramen places don't do take out since it is best consumed immediately.
