quiet(ish) restaurant for client/team dinner in soho/nolita
We have some clients coming into town this week and would like to take them out to dinner somewhere around Soho/Nolita. We aren't tied to that area necessarily -- it's just near the office. There will be about 8 of us and I don't want to pick somewhere too extravagant, but would like to take them to a nice meal where we can all actually hear one another. Cuisine type doesn't matter much since I don't know everyone's preferences. I was thinking of Peasant, but I think that might get very loud.
Any recommendations?

Trying to decide between Apizz, August, Aldea, and Perry Street
My boyfriend is taking me to dinner for my birthday and we're having a hard time choosing a restaurant. We've already canceled the reservation we had at Allen & Delancey because of some of the recent reviews on the board. Does anyone have a preference for one out of these over the others: Apizz, August, Aldea, Perry Street? We'd like somewhere quiet(ish) but not completely stuffy with great food. I'm sure we can't go wrong with any of these restaurants, but I thought I would try asking you all since I think I'm over thinking this myself. Oh, and he's in graduate school so while he gave me this initial list to choose from, I'm trying to be mindful of the bill as well. Any other suggestions along these lines are welcome too.
