WA roadtrip-worthy restaurants

I must recommend Sleeping Lady Resort in Leavenworth. All organic. AMAZING summer produce. It is an amazing resort with spa. Dinner IS a buffet - but fabulous. They have a salad bar which will challange your notions - organic produce grown right there at the resort. Everything picked that day. Food that tastes like amazing food. Very amenable to special diets -GF was no problem, and in fact they went out of their way to tell us abou the GF things they would LOVE to make for my friend! Great place, peaceful grounds, full bars (thank gawd), pool, spa, etc. Love it there. Less than a mile from downtown Leavenworth but feels far away. Nothing Bavarian at SL!! LOL!

Help! Need a memorable anniversary dinner!

I know your annversary has come and gone but... Teatro Zinzanni is awesome! The food is great and by the end of the nite my cheeks hurt from laughing and smiling. Truly a memorable night out. Expensive? Yes. Worth it? Absolutely! We take friends there whenever we have out of town visitors. Big fun. And Tom Douglas cuisine!

Where to lunch in Kent?

Have you tried Paolo on 104th SE & 240th? Not a great location but consistantly very good. And they have their own pastry chef... If you ever see the banana cream pie, go for it - and I don't even like BCP - but tasted it because it's my husband's fave..OMG. Also their Lemon Cheesecake is amazing. The pasta, the fish, the sauces... I feel the need for a short road trip!

Basic Iced Tea

I've heard that keeping the tea at room temperature before refrigerating keeps the tea clear - as opposed to cloudy. Anyone else know? Thanks!
