Sosua and Cabarete Dominican Republic

I just got back from Sosua. The best restaurant that I have ever been to- ever- is called "Chili". It is a Thai restaurant on La Mulata Road. That says a lot because I am from NYC and it is not always easy to find this standard in authenticity out of Thailand or a big city such as NYC. The phone no is 809-913-2159 and they are open Wednesday through Sunday. You have probably gone on your trip by now but if someone else is reading this-please don't pass this up. Also, if you are going to Sosua beach, I recommend going to store number 189 called Caribe- run by this guy named Adanas. The food is very good here and Adanas takes good care of you.

Forest Hills Takeout

Hey just wanted to tell you about that new place Tuscan Hills on Queens Blvd and 77th Ave. It is pretty good- actually, very good pasta dishes. I would like to see local businesses do well and I hope that this place does that. Everything is good here as is the service. I see that they do have take out options. I would give it a try.

They need to re-think their lunch menu and reduce the lunch prices. I.e., 12.95 for a three course lunch special is Manhattan price. I would say that 9.95 would be more appropriate for the area. This will bring more foot traffic into the store and more exposure. If they get their liquor license, they can make money.

Bagels in Queens

Are there any good bagel stores left in Queens? I am talking about old fashioned and dense bagels like Murray's bagels in Manhattan.
