Crabs in Ellicott City?
Thanks everyone! We may try Ship's Cafe. Never heard of it, but it's pretty convenient for all involved. Good big crabs are all we need. And from MARYLAND of course, not the gulf!
Crabs in Ellicott City?
I have a list of favorite crab houses, but none are in the Ellicott City area. I'm trying to corral my family to meet up this weekend, and some live in northern MoCo and others (me) live in Baltimore City, so I thought something off 70 would work. We've been to the Woodbine Inn which is a funny little place but has good crabs. Just wondering if there are other options. Thanks!
B-more Rest. w/ Non-Styrofoam Take-Home boxes?
Miss Shirley's uses those boxes. The other restaurants in that group (Loco Hombre, Alonso's) might use them also, but I don't know for sure.
cioppino in baltimore
Oceanaire has cioppino. Very good, too, and one of their least expensive entrees.
Decent Dining in Towson
Actually, that's a great idea! They are staying right near there. Thanks!
Decent Dining in Towson
We love Petit Louis - live right near there. It's been hit or miss lately, but I still love it. Cafe Troia has disappointed me the past 2-3 times I've been there. Used to be my favorite Italian place. Bummer. Thanks for the ideas!
Decent Dining in Towson
Have friends staying in Timonium for the weekend, and we're meeting them for dinner tonight. Thought Towson would be a good meeting spot (we're in the city). Any suggestions that aren't too chain-y? All I can think of is Paolo's and Sushi Hana. (Both are fine, but I like to know ALL of my choices!)
Baltimore's Best Bar Food
Dizzy Issie's on Remington Ave has great basic food - fries, onion rings, wings (ask for them well done), burgers, etc. Very reasonable prices and good beer.
Brewer's Art has more upscale bar food, but it's fabulous. Caesar salad and fries are too die for!
Alonso's/Loco Hombre nachos are my favorite, but J. Paul's nachos are really good too if you want to deal with the harbor.
worst french food in baltimore
I agree. I've been there for drinks, and the lounge area in the front is a nice place to sit with friends, but I think it's hugely overpriced for the mediocre product. I find that in a lot of Baltimore restaurants - so many of them fall short of good food, even if the restaurant itself is nice. Petit Louis has been declining for the past year or so, but I still prefer it to Brasserie Tatin.
