Triangle CSA's

thanks for the info. i really liked brinkley farms bc they had the cheaper $96 option for 1/2 of the season.

Cinco de Mayo in Raleigh?

personally, ill probably end up at los cuates on old wake forest rd in raleigh. i am in love with their salsa bar and the burritos are HUGE. does anyone know if they have margs/if they are good?

Triangle CSA's

i did the first half of last summer with brinkley farms. i was really pleased with everything, except i moved to the other side of town halfway through, so picking up the box doubled my wednesday afternoon commutes home. are there any that you can pick up in east/north/downtown raleigh? or along capital? we never go to the farmers market either, bc its so far away!

Fish Tacos in the Raleigh-area?

went to los cuates last night. i got the fish tacos, they were good, but i don't think i'd get them again. i prefer fish to not be fried in fish tacos. i did like all the different salsas on the salsa bar. and my bf got the 2 burritos combo meal. those burritos were HUGE!! basically 2 cosmic-sized burritos rice and beans for ~ 7 or 8 $. we'll be goingn back and i want to try to chimichanga.

Best food bets, Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Aberdeen

i grew up in pinehurst. we always went to the village deli in pinehurst. i always loved their quiche. dugan's is a fun pub. and ive heard great things about the Mexican place in aberdeen.

Best tacos al pastor in Durham/Triangle area?

ive seen al pastor on the menus of the taco trucks i frequent, but i cant remember if ive tried it. i like barbacoa a lot.

The Latest Poole's Downtown Diner-Raleigh

WOW! i understand they are trying to cater to the new $$$ class in Raleigh and i'm fine with restaurants opening up with that purpose but i hate that they took an old place that had a local following and jazzed it up (and out of my price range.)

sidetrack brewpub in raleigh, nc

yeah. their website makes it seem like they are open or at least very close. they've got a menu posted and everything! hopefully it will open soon.

sidetrack brewpub in raleigh, nc

i just found their website online. anyone been? how long has it been open? hows the beer/food?

The Pit now opened in Downtown Raleigh for BBQ!

i just read about it on newraleigh.com

i can't wait to check it out.

NR also mentioned "the smoking times" opening soon. anyone know what this is?

Restaurants in Pawley's Island/Murrell's Inlet area?

we used to vacation at litchfield. for fancy: frank's in PI. we also went to some cajun place in murrels inlet that i remember being fun.

local milk in raleigh grocery stores?

thanks. i looked on MV's website and didnt see a list of where its sold. CV is still the closest; just gotta wait for an upscale grocery store on the east side. maybe seaboard will sell it when it reopens.

"Locals' Food" in Raleigh

if youre ever in crabtree valley mall and starving (hopefully this is where you went) go to KABOBBI'S!!!! its in the food court, so put away your dignity for a bit but it is sooooo good and fresh tasting. all natural, too. and they are super-friendly, esp. for a food court.

local milk in raleigh grocery stores?

i have been purchasing maple view milk from harris teeter in cameron village for years now and i love it. i recently moved (still in raleigh) but far away from CV. anyone know if its sold anywhere else in the city that might be closer? i know whole foods does, but they are far away too (and more exp. than at HT!) Thanks!

Report on Raleigh?

IS capital city open yet? i havent heard that it is reopened yet.

Best Delivery in Raleigh

ohhhhhh man that sounds like a pizza made just for me. ive been meaning to try capital creations, i think i def. will now! lilly's does deliver, but it takes 1.5 hours....no joke. if you do pick up, it only takes 20 mins. though!

Lunch in Wake Forest, NC

yes they have burgers and fries. and theyre pretty good. i used to order the veggie on ciabatta all the time in morrisville, but the wake forest veggie on ciabatta is not as good, at all. (the bread) also the chicken philly is not as good as morrisville/raleigh locations. imo!

Lunch in Wake Forest, NC

i am also in this situation: live in raleigh, work in wake forest. i was very disappointed in vincent's pizza. for a good sandwich i suggest the village deli, next to armadillo grill. this village deli has the biggest selection out of the three ive been to in the area (one in morrisville, one in cameron village) but its not quite as good as the others. also, fiesta in the wakefield commons shopping center has a $5 deal every day for lunch. its one of the numbered lunch specials and a drink. i think its the best deal in the area, but i love mexican.
