Business Trip recommendations needed (Salt Lake City)

I am going on a business trip with co-workers and staying at the marriott city creek. Our dinner budget is 50 + tax and tips per person including drinks. We need recomendations for the following:

1. Quick eats - need a place that serves quick food for dinner as we get in late
2. Need 2 safe places for picky eaters
3. need 1 place that is different or unique to SLC.

Lunch recomendations would help too but we will probably find a burger or sandwich place.

Best Dessert In the City / neighboring towns

I saw this post from back in 2009 but wanted to revamp it with a new list let me know what your favorite dessert in the city is.

I would throw in the Zeppole from Sorrelina which are light and refreshing.

Manhattan Celebration Diner for 2 (and desert tasting questions)

My wife just found out she passed the post residency surgical boards exam on her first attempt which isn't easy. I found a last minute hotel room at the intercontinental barclay for this saturday night and wanted to now schedule a celebratory diner for us. We have loved Marseille and DB bistro Modern but I wanted to go up from there. I don't have an unlimited budget and we are going to the theater afterwards.

My wife and I keep kosher in the house but do dine out as long as we don't have anything that is not kosher. So we don't eat pork, shelfish, or meat and cheese. Because of this we can't do tasting menus but rather need to do 3 course menus / al a carte menus. Where we go would ideally have:

1. wine pairings with its menu (or a sommelier on site)
2. Lamb chops or duck (wife's favorite)
3. availability to get in on saturday and out in time for play.
4. price isn't a deciding factor but I would like to be under 400 w/ tax and tip (without wine pairings) so roughly 160 pp for diner (also willing to push slightly if really worth it).

Next we heard on previous trips about a dessert tasting at WD-50 is that something that is still going on and would you recommend it? Further is there any other dessert tasting menu you would recommend?

Thanks for all your help in advance.

Need Restaurants for Business Trip

I am coming down to Dallas for a business trip with a co-worker. We will be saying just outside of Dallas in the Southlake / Irving area but I don't mind driving. Our spending limit for dinners is 50$ before tax and tip per person. I would like some options that will push my budget and options that will not break the bank to please my boss. Any suggestions you have would be appreciated.

Thanks

Pre Theater dinner Saturday Night

It was the best Advice i didn't take. I went to Sardi's but it was overpriced for the quality and the ambiance was missing. I had a much beter meal for the same price at DB's Bistro Moderne and would recommend going there over Sardi's and will never listen to that guy again.

Filling my picnic basket in Newport, RI

My wife and I are coming down to Newport for our aniversary and would like to go for a picnic in Newport to relax drink wine and maybe fly a kite. We are staying at a B&B on Phelham right near Thames. I know there are a ton of restaurants but would like to pickup something (premade or make ourselves) to eat on the way to picnicing.

I know I want to stop at either the Mad Hatter or newport choclate for dessert and I know that there is a Stop n Shop near the Chocolate by Freebody park as a last resort we can pick up bread sandwich meats and some fruit.

Is there a place that will pack to go and be perfect for a picnic? Is it near a place to setup our blanket?

Thanks for all your assistance.

Avenues, Tru, Les Nomades, or Everest?

It has been a little while since I have eaten at any of these so forgive me if things have changed but your not going to have a bad meal at any of them. I always liked the sheek decor of tru but overall food wise I would have to say the best meal I had out of those four was at Les Nomades.

Recomendations for a tourist in his own city

Hi all I am half way through a 3 year stint out in Boston and I am headed home to chicago for training. My company gives me a 50 (pre tax and tip) budget per night for dinner and I would like to take what money is on the table. I would like to go to any new restaurants or ones that are getting better. I would prefer if they had bar seating so I am not at a table for two as only one.

I am coming in the week of may 3rd - 6th and would like sugestions for the river north area or a place i can get to via subway or short cab ride. I know one night is going to be Sushi so maybe Japonais or the sushi place on wells near Lous can't remember the name for the life of me. Other than that I am open for two nights whats new and good right now?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Pre Theater dinner Saturday Night

I need to make my reservations for my excursion to NY this weekend and am looking for a relaxed place to go to dinner before the theater on the 19th. We are going to see Spiderman (heres hoping on minimal breaks). But we would like a dinner no more than about 80 per person (before tax and tip). We want a place that does the classics real well nothing too adventurous. Just good quality food no fluff. A good steakhouse would be perfect but what would you recommend?

I am a foodie at heart but my wife is not she likes it simple. Is there a compromise?

Thank you in advance.

Chef Table for two?

Thank you all for your sugestions I am looking into Via Matta , L'Espalier, and Asana. Any recomendations as far as those places or should I be looking into different ones. The birthday boy is a huge foodie and enjoyed Sorellina but wasn't blown away. Do you think any of these places will blow him away?

Chef Table for two?

I am looking for a very nice restaurant that has a chef table. It is a 30th birthday and we both love watching cooking shows and such... Since the Birthday Boy absolutely loves cooking I feel as though a chef's table is the way to go. What in your opinion is the best chef's table in boston along with having the best food. How far in advance do you need to book one we have a 3 week stretch in february in which we can do it... Cuisine isn't a big issue as he will eat anything under the sun once.

Looking for Italian joint for Biz dinner near the Loop

My personal favorite place in the city is Ittalian Village. For that price point the best restaurant would be Vivere its most expensive meal is 39$ main course. Its a very upscale restaurant for a nice evening out its located on madison between clark and dearborn. http://www.italianvillage-chicago.com/ I personally love the rib-eye it is melt in your mouth good.

Pre-Theater dinner for a Birthday.

I am taking my fiance to dinner and Jersey Boys at the Bank of America theater in Chicago. I am not very familliar with restaurants in that area. I am a fan of Italian Village but would like something new. I would like to be in walking distance to the theater cause she doesn't know we are going. I would like a prix fixe menu and romantic atmosphere. Here favorite foods are as follows.

1. Asian Fusion
2. Japanese Steakhouse types
3. Italian
4. American

We would like to get to the theater by like 7:15, so a place that has romantic service but is on time is perfect. Please provide any recomendations you may have and I thank you in advance for all your help.
