Restaurants Open on a Sunday Night

Hello Hounds,

I will be visiting Montreal soon and am trying to find somewhere to reserve on a Sunday night. There are many places I'm interested in trying, but alas - most are closed Sundays, e.g. Au Cinquieme Peche, Garde Manger, DNA, Alep...

Will be staying in Old Montreal but willing to travel a little bit, preferably by metro or a not-too-far cab ride. We are doing Au Pied de Cochon Saturday night, so that's out. Am considering L'Orignal, has anyone been recently and enjoyed it?

Any other suggestions for a Sunday? Nothing too stuffy or high end, no molecular gastronomy, mains in the $20-$30 range.

Any and all suggestions welcome!

That's great, thanks Tatai! I'll get in touch with Marvelous Edibles.

Thanks Sooeygun. Have you had a chance to try it? My impression of Wanda's is that most find the pies too sweet, but I'll have to go try myself.

As a last resort I can order a banana cream cake from Dufflet. Still holding out for a pie/tart though....

Their email response to my initial query merely stated that banana cream is not currently on the menu, I suppose it's worth checking to see if they'll take a special order...

I'm eager to get my hands on a banana cream pie or tart (and failing that, a cake) for an upcoming celebration. I had planned on ordering one from Queen of Tarts, but unfortunately they're not currently on the menu! Very disappointing.

Any other suggestions? I haven't begun calling around yet, and am hoping that someone here can recommend a starting point. Just to clarify, I'm not interested in anything mass produced (i.e. Loblaws etc).

I'd certainly prefer something downtown-ish, but am willing to travel across the GTA if I have to.
