best grind & brew coffee maker???

steam in the grinder making it difficult to clean is what I keep reading. Is there one that is not hard to clean? I'm not interested in Kcups for this purpose. It's for someone who cannot have sugar (or substitutes) added to coffee, so they want the best possible taste, which seems to come from freshly grinded coffee. Any other suggestions welcome.

Ideas of restaurants/places to cater Passover dinner (not eat-in)

Does not have to be Kosher, just serve an appropriate menu for the holiday. We would preferably want the food delivered (Rockville/Bethesda area), but could possibly arrange pick up.
Any ideas welcome, thanks!

Visiting SF in a month, need good places to eat!

This thread has been so helpful as I am traveling there this month too. Staying in Union Square (St Francis), just curious, are any of these places mentioned in walking distance/nearby?
Please add any not to miss near area, not just restaurants, but anything food related!

Also check out the new Special K chip crackers (round ones). I'm not sure about points, but a ton of chips for the calories. Perhaps someone knows.

Egg-intensive brunch dish needed

Whenever I make this casserole, the dish is scraped clean by the guests!

10 slices Cheddar or American cheese torn in small pieces
2 (10oz) pkgs frozen chopped spinach, thawed/drained
2 cups cottage cheese
5 eggs, lightly beaten
1/3 cup AP flour
salt/pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 350 degrees, grease 9x13 baking dish
Reserve small amount of cheese for top.
Combine remaining cheese with rest of ingredients in bowl and mix well.
Pour in dish & sprinkle with reserved cheese. Bake 45-60 min, until bubbly.

I bought a box of oven bags by accident. Do they work better or not so great?
Anyone have any good recipes using them? Also, do they work for fish or just meat/poultry?

Kid's Party - Make Ahead

I've done deli wraps that work great for all ages. tip: if you spread a small amt of cream cheese on the end it keeps it sealed & can't even taste it. I just cut them in 1/3rds. you could do macaroni & potato salad with it. Also, soft pretzels.

Baking Spice Blends Without Cinnamon

I think most for purchase containit. mix your own & omit cinnamon. There are flavored sugars you can buy (coconut, ginger, lemon, blueberry etc..)

You mentioned touring, so if you want lunch while near the museums, I highly recommend Mitsitam Cafe in the National Museum of the American Indian. Very unique- 5 "menus" of items to choose from different areas.

have you tried them with prosciutto instead of bacon? I tend to like them better like that, especially when using oven over grill.

Your favourite "magic" few-ingredient recipes

Spaghetti squash! Cut in half & put cut sides down on foiled baking sheet, bake at 350 degrees, 30-45 minutes, or until soft. Remove and set aside to cool enough to be easily handled. While squash is cooking saute onion & garlic in oil until tender. Stir in tomatoes (fresh chopped or a can) and cook until warm. Scoop out squash & toss with tomato mixture, feta cheese, basil & olives.
