El Sombrero, best mexican food I've had yet in the GTA.
I've never been to Mexico so i can't comment on authenticity, but Mariachi at Yonge and Eglinton has a bunch of mains that are quite different to the usual tortilla-based stuff you see at Californian Mexican restaurants. It's not going to blow your mind but i find it all pretty tasty.
ISO Speculaas / Speculoos mould or board
Strictly Bulk on Danforth and Pape got a massive bin of speculaas (they call them windmill cookies) a few weeks ago. I'm not sure how they compare to the PC brand, but for the price you can't really complain.
Anyone know of any Dutch or Viennese restaurants in Toronto?
Does anyone know of any places that are TTC-accessible that sell Sinterklaas food and candy? We can get stroopwafels at pretty much any grocery store, but i'm thinking of pepernoten, chocolate letters, speculaas etc.
Taco Time open in Atrium Food Court
Have you tried Chipotle Mexican Grill? It's just across the road from the Atrium anyway and in my opinion much more delicious than Taco Time.
Count Chocula and Boo Berry in Toronto
Well the College Park mission proved fruitless so i guess we're out of luck this year. A throwback-themed cereal and candy store would be great.
Count Chocula and Boo Berry in Toronto
I'll check out College Park Metro, thanks for the tip! I agree they're not the best tasting cereals in the world, but they are seasonal/festive, which is nice at this time of year. I can't make Buffalo this year, but it sounds like that will have to be the plan for next year. I'm surprised no stores sell the full set of cereals here, not even import candy stores it seems.
Count Chocula and Boo Berry in Toronto
Does anyone know where to find these Halloween cereals in Toronto? I've tried Scarborough Wal-Mart and the various grocery stores along the Danforth subway line. Is there anywhere that stocks these?
Sumac in Toronto [moved from Quebec board]
You can also get it (ground) at the halal convenience stores around the Madinah Masjid on Danforth. They have it behind the counter so may be able to source whole berry for you.
Malaysian?
Yep, though i only ever ate it in Australia. Awesome approach to a burger. I'd love to see more south-east Asian junk food like mamak, satay etc here.
Malaysian?
Does anyone know somewhere to get a ramly burger in Toronto, preferably downtown?
