Barcelona Restaurant Recomendations...

I heartily recommend an eatery near the bottom of Las Ramblas, just off the Passeig De Colom - "El Paraguayo".

Very small, just off the beaten track and a genuine hidden gem. Naturally being South American, steaks are their speciality. Go for the large slab of meat which is literally cooked on a griddle on your table - You and your partner simply slice off meat as it cooks to your liking. It was something like 23 euros and easily enough to fill 2-3 people. Also, if you select a steak just for yourself, go for a cooking style above what you may be used to. For example, if you like it rare, select medium; basically with the steaks being so huge, even the well done steaks have quite a bit of pink in the middle!

Barcelona is a city where it's so easy to be ripped off for substandard food near a main tourist hotspot, but this is quite different and brilliant value for money.

Here's a link to where it is.
