I'm taking my girlfriend there next week maybe we will find some common ground there...I suppose restaurants like movies can be subjective...I loved Inglorious Bastards, Seven Beauties,A New Leaf and I'm really looking forward to ''a Serious Man''.Im curious how'd you feel about Ishtar........

I will tell you what..When I left the country in 1971 with a one way ticket and 35 bucks in my pocket and retuned 6 months later I hitch hiked straight to titos and then home..I thought titos had gone out of business then I went outside and saw that titos had moved just west by the freeway that was november of 1971...Its possible perhaps probable they had changed cooks by then....Sunday while coming home from redondo beach I almost stopped at titos but have kicked the habit however I did took look over...sunday about 1:00.... 2 people ...in each line ...your honor.....I rest my case...

DeFrankos in Van Nuys..A hole in the wall if there ever was one, has a 5 seat counter some benches in back is run like clockwork by the owner drew a female.. east coast following many regulars she has been making sandwiches for over 25 years.. Learned at a place on victory and was either given the place or bought it from the owner who was in jail for shooting his tax man..True story..I usually get the italian with everything on it..tomatoes onions pickles oil spices. ect..Numerous hot and cold sandwiches everything good to great has won numerous awards over the years you could drive by this place for years and never notice it..,did get a new sign a couple of years ago and a new roof...7532 woodley ave. Hows this Servorg..If you want to go to a restaurant that hasn't changed try going next door to Johnnies the owner now in his 90s still comes in once a week..You can probable find the owner of Titos at King Burrito...Keep listening to Van Halen..

NO WAY MONKUBOY..IVE EAT'N AT TITOS SINCE 1959 WHEN IT OPENED ON THE CORNER..IT WAS AMAZING....THEY FIRED THE OLD MANAGER MANY YEARS AGO AND BROUGHT IN A RELATIVE,,HOW DO I KNOW?ABOUT TWO YEARS AGO I WAS WORKING IN THE AREA AND BROUGHT UP TITOS TO THE OWNER AN OLDER MEXICAN GUY..HE SAID ONE OF MY RELATIVES WORKED THERE FOR MANYT YEARS..THEY HAD A MEXICAN COOK MANAGER.. THEY LET HIM GO AND THAT WAS THAT...;BELIEVE ME THAT WAS THAT...IVE CALLED AND COMPLAINED...TITOS BRINGS SUCH A STRONG RESPONSE BECAUSE OF WHAT IT ONCE WAS...,I WOULD GO BACK IN A SECOND IF THEY WOULD GO BACK TO THE ORIGINAL WAYS...AND EVERY FEW MONTHS ILL TRY IT...AND REGRET IT......

UNFORTUNATELY TITOS HAS BEEN LIVING OFF ITS REPUTATION FOR A LONG TIME..THRU THE 1960S AND I BELIEVE INTO THE EARLY 80S IT WAS THE BEST..SINCE THEN SO SO TO UNEATABLE...PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN GOING THERE SINCE COMING TO LA DONT HAVE A CLUE ABOUT WHAT MADE TITOS GREAT...HOW DO I PUT THIS.. THINK VAN HALEN BEFORE AND AFTER DAVID LEE ROTH.............

I was told a long time ago the manager was let go or fired and titos has NEVER been the same.its only declined, the current lines are nothing like they use to be now Titos is marginal at best..i gave up on them years ago when i took a friend who has never let me forget it....
