I have never experienced a search where you limit the criteria to the last 12 months and still posts from 2, 3,4, years ago come up. You say it is common - I say it makes using this site extrordinarily frustrating.

I just tried using ChowHound again after being fed up several months ago. Once again I searched for "Delray" in the Florida blog and a list of "seemingly relevant" topics appears, but when I go to those threads I read recommendations for restaurants that have been closed for years. Am I doing something wrong? I find this sight extremely frustrating.

I assume you are looking for low country when you go to dine in Charleston. I have found that the locals can be sick of low country and will tend to recommend good restaurants that serve other cuisines. We generally only venture in from Kiawah for one meal, so I am definately seeking low country cooking. SNOB and Macrady's are still great as well as relative new comers Penisula Grill and Cypress. I am looking forward to Husk on my next trip. Also out by the Sanctuary, although they haven't changed the menu in years, Rosebank Farms is still pretty good. The Sanctuary does a nice but expensive job, but avoid all other Kiawah restaurants.

The bar at the Market Pavillion is more upscale. With all the great resataurants in Charelston don't waste a meal there though. It is great for cocktails before dinner / sunset or after.

I just joined this site and I have been trying to do just that "search on the Florida board" for the best restaurants in Delray Beach. If you could explain how to search without hundreds of unrelated posts from unrelated areas I would greatly appreciate it.
