Dinner recommendations near NC Museum of Art Raleigh
The response is too late for your trip, but if you return ..... consider Bistro 618. It is just off the 440 beltline on Lake Boone Trail. The food is great.
Best Sandwich in the Triangle?
Sunflowers (Peace St) in Raleigh. They started on Glenwood South before it boomed and are now serving the same great sandwiches near Seaboard.
While at Seaboard, consider Tookies for chicken salad if you like Southern style on soft bread. I'm Southern but like dense breads -- this is a "take you back to your roots" kinda place.
10 Best Southern Hotdogs?
Jones' Hot Dogs on Main St in Clayton NC (15 miles east of Raleigh). I went in the early 60s as a teen and it still serves great dogs with chili.
Splitting an entrée: Frugal or cheap?
Agree with many others. It is not about money. It is about health. I'm in my 60s and at this age we certainly do not need the portions that most (even high-end) restaurants serve. The problem is that you feel 'guilty' when splitting because it is viewed as being cheap. This misconception is captured in the title -- let's rename it to Splitting an entree: overweight or good health?
Raleigh/RTP recommendations
Probably too late for your trip. But for the future, consider Bella Monica (near Rex Hospital) and Glenwood Grill (corner of Oberlin/Glenwood) in Raleigh.
