Joe Abbracciamento's lately?
I like so many things...Appetizers: Italian mixed salad, hot antipasta, stuffed artichoke, bakes clams. Entrees: veal marsala with mushrooms, chicken francese, shrimp oreganata or francese. Just thinking of these dishes makes me want to go there now! I hope you enjoy it.

I live nearby and was going to give it another try. Again, when I heard the ridiculously loud music, I only got a hero to go. What's up with the volume of the music here? Why doesn't the maitre'd come around to check on things? I also wrote about the parking before...the biggest problem here is that staff hogs spaces. You want a good relationship with neighbors...treat us with respect......ONE car gets ONE space!!!! And you know who you are.

I only signed up recently, and your question was 7 years ago, but my response would always be the same. Parkside is fantastic. Although I only get there about 10x a year, I leave satisfied and happy. LOVE IT !!

London Lennie's....hands down!!!! They have awesome food there. But the price is not cheap. I promise you won't go home hungry or dissapointed after eating there. Use the valet parking, it can be difficult to park there. I eat there at least once a month for the last umpteen years. When money is an issue, maybe a little less often. Then again, lunch is always less expensive than dinner. And, have a coctail at home before or after. Liquor always jacks up the bill.

My reply is late for last Christmas but I hope you took you parents there. Joe's is an old standby. The food is consistantly good and served by pro's. What I believe makes a huge difference here is that it is still family run after all these years. The senior Abbracciamento's (RIP) were lovely, warm and kind. Their sons posess the same fine qualities. I am proud to have known them for countless years. May they continue to run this wonderful restaurant forever.

Oh yes, I forgot to mention I did eat here. The decor is lovely and the staff is well trained. I have two complaints: 1) the music is deafening; I couldn not hear my dinner companions on either side of me. I noticed every table had the patrons shouting at each other to be heard. 2) food looked beautiful but toooooo saalty! I you have high BP, steer clear! If those two things were corrected, I'd be very willing to try it again, but not till then.

You are so right. The valet guys are so nice BUT they hog spots all over the place. I can't park near my own house anymore...even in the daytime! This area is all 2-family homes and this is making it hard on all of us.
