We went to The Grill at the Dorchester last christmas eve and we loved the food there. It's a pretty fancy place, but the bf showed up in jeans and sweater and didn't get turned away or any dirty looks.

What are the MUST-TRY restaurants/food in Boston?

Hello fellow Chowhounds! I'll be in Boston from Fri-Sun evening and staying close to Copley Square. Since it's a short trip, I need your help in identifying the not-to-be-missed restaurants in Boston! Budget is flexible and open to all cuisine, as long as the food is damn effin good.

Let's hear all your suggestions! Thanks :)

Madison, Wisconsin

i'm surpised no one mentioned Nadia's on State Street.

Hong Kong Wok in Hilldale Shopping Center has authentic (and awesome) congee and fried vermicelli on their weekend brunch menu. Some dishes here are authentic, some americanized, but overall very yummy. It might be a tad bit far from campus though.

Madison WI area business dinner

I heart L'Etoile but as for new places... Muramoto downtown might be worth checking out. It's not white-linens-black-jacket fine dining, but the food and flavors are exquisite and definitely fine dining standards!

hope that helps.

Weekend in Madison

Your post got me really excited! Madison is a treasure trove of affordable and good restaurants.

For breakfast/brunch, check out Marigold Kitchen. It gets very crowded at prime brunch time. http://www.marigoldkitchen.com/map.html

I love L'Etoile, a fine-dining french restaurant. The food is excellent, and they offer a 3-course prix fixe for $39. A jacket is required, but I'm not 100% positive. http://www.letoile-restaurant.com/

Another french restaurant and a student favorite is Nadia's. http://www.nadiasrestaurant.com/

Try Muramoto (downtown) if you're feeling like japanese fusion that day. I'm not a big fusion fan, but Muramoto does it so well! http://www.muramoto.biz/

Hope that helps. Enjoy your trip! I'm so jealous! :)
