Old Fashioned Sticky Buns
Coming in very late on this, but I second the Night Kitchen. The best and butteriest of them. My dad used to slice them up the next day, slather them in butter and FRY THEM.
Good times...
Where to get the Best Burgers in Montgomery County PA?
Cisco's has a pretty good everything!
Anyone know of Philly places that are usually open Christmas night - in the Chestnut Hill area?
Yes, well we all learned from my father that meals are more important than, well, anything. Valley Green was only open Christmas Eve last year, so I doubt they'd be open. I'd really prefer staying in the area, since my mom lives close by and we like to get a few drinks in her because it's very entertaining, I miss Cresheim Cottage. It wasn't the fanciest meal in the world, but it was a nice place to be during the holidays.

Obviously I have a lot of time to worry about where we'll go for Christmas dinner but I was just thinking about it, so I wonder if anyone knows offhand.
We went to Cresheim Cottage in Mount Airy every year since 2000 but they closed, so last year we made reservations for Cin Cin. When we got there we were told it would be "at least an hour and a half" because they seated everyone without reservations. Needless to say we left very angry and ended up at Yu Hsiang down the street, which made for a good "A Christmas Story" like experience but not what we wanted.
It's been our family tradition since 2000 to have Christmas dinner out, and we'd like to keep it going. It's just hard to find places around stay open on Christmas.
Anyone know of any? Even downtown would work.
