S & T Hong Kong Seafood for dim sum, Joe's of Westlake for Calamari steak and Steak Bruno, Jamie's in Sacramento for smoked prime rib, Piquante in Berkeley for tamales.
My most tattered cookbooks:
Both Julia Child & Company cookbooks, Ada Boni's Italian Regional Cooking, Claudia Rodin's A Book of Middle Eastern Cooking, and I absolutely wore out my Joy of Cooking that I got as a wedding present in 1966.
