Husband's First Time in NYC - Need Good Food

NYC is near and dear to my heart and would move there if I wasn't already embedded in my suburban midwest life (that I also love, btw). In any event, my husband has finally agreed to go to NYC with me and I want to make sure we have good meals on our long weekend. This is what I have/need so far:

-Breakfast (Diner style):
Clinton St. Baking Copany
-NY Pizza:
Joe's Pizza on Carmine
NY Pizza Suprema
-Pre-Theater dinner:

-Italian restaurant - dinner
I Trulli
Paprika
-steak dinner
DelMonico's
-lunch:
Shake Shack

We don't typically like to really expensive dinners with exotic plates (husband is less adventurous, if you know what I mean). I tend to like off the beaten path, non-touristy type restaurants. I've been to Emelio Balatto's several times and think it's just OK (food wise), but I love the idea of it (small, relatively unknown, good atmosphere).
