All Clad baking sheet

I found that www.katom.com had a better price for the same pan than the www.wasserstrom.com website linked to in your link. I bought 4 of them delivered for $72.08, which was about $4 less than wasserstrom.com.

It Is Impossible to Find a Functional Stainless Steel Steamer Basket.

I found a solution for a rice cooker / steamer that doesn't use non-stick coating, it has no plastic exposed to the food, and it's all stainless interior:

http://www.amazon.com/Stainless-Steel...

The steamer tray may be big enough for your needs. The one thing I disliked about it was the small hole in the glass lid, apparently a steam release safety. You could find a different lid to replace the bad lid, cover the whole with a spoon, or just leave it be.

Rice Cooker advice

well yeah, but all the old pressure cookers i've seen have lids without a hole. i don't think its necessary; i can only understand why they put a whole in the lid as a legal liability issue, but to me the effect of it is that it's counterproductive to cooking rice.

Rice Cooker advice

i have a miracle brand rice cooker. its good because stainless steel and glass are the only materials that contact the food. plastic only on the outside of device and no teflon. only bad thing is the small hole in the glass lid...why have that?

Om MSP

well thats fair; by "better & fresher" i intended to mean the difference between coop produce and rainbow/cub foods produce...that is to say, while the gandhi mahal cuisine struck me as well-presented and dressed up big-box sam's club/restaurant depot/sysco foodservices agribusiness products, my impression of the ingredients at Om was that they were less out-of-the-can vegetables and more freshly grown & prepared ingredients. I hope it's not too off-topic for me to offer this comparative analogy. is that any more accurate for you sir?

Om MSP

i ate there and liked it. better than the time i ate at gahndi mahal. prices at om are similar or not much more than gahndi mahal, but om food was better & fresher than gandhi mahal. its not a cheap price point in my world, at $15+/entree, but tasty stuff there at Om.

MSP: Somali or Hmong Food?

honestly i don't know because i haven't been there yet, but they are advertising a spot on KFAI radio. ("fresh air community radio" 90.3fm minneapolis 106.7fm st. paul, "radio without boundaries.") i remember all the catch phrases because i like to listen to it, since its good programming unlike corporate radio. also, i believe the katar river restaurant and bakery provides injera to the seward coop. Here is a link to a nov. 2008 review of katar river restaurant & bakery: http://www.secretsofthecity.com/magaz...

again, i have no personal experience dining there but i intend to make it over there soon, because all indications are that it's worthwhile. and now that i reread that review, i can say for sure it's Ethiopian food. i know KFAI and the seward neighborhood are good community grassroots types of places, and i know there's strong somalian, eritrean, and ostensibly ethiopean immigrant populations in the nearby area, so those are the indications i referred to above.

MSP: Somali or Hmong Food?

Katar River. possible high arsenic contamination in soil of property, but that will be abated by 2012. Point being, katar river by cub & rainbow off lake street, for somalian or ethiopian or whatever it is kind of food.
