I can't believe that so few of you actually went in and tried the food. Big mistake because you've missed out on delicious quick authentic Mexican food. I am a sucker for such food. Try the gorditas with barbacoa. Trust me, you'll be back for more. The owner is there ALL the time, so it is up to us to go support her, to support our local independent eateries. I could easily eat here 3-4 times a week, so sad for my hips.
Where can we get non-chain breakfast tacos? Since leaving Austin 15 years ago, breakfast hasn't been the same.
Papas Grill: Durham
It has been years since I've eaten at Papa's Grill, partly because it is out of the way for me. I thought it was better than any of George Bakatias' (sp?) restaurants, and was wondering if it was still good--I'm so glad to read that they are serving excellent food at lower prices. I don't think it compares to Four Square or Magnolia, but definitely better than a lot of the rest.
