Should be "Best meal I ever had", not "ate". Eat a meal? Who writes like that? Best meal: Le Grand Véfour wayyyyy back, in the ancien régime, or the last time chez Spring. As for the most satisfying dining experience, Fagoaga's Olhabidea outside Sare.

The most fun, not necessarily the best food: 1. L'Ami Jean, Paris; 2. Spring, Paris; 3. Olhabidea, Sare; 4. Nguan Lee, Soi Langsuan, Bangkok; 5. A fresh dimsum stall near the Chiangmai bus terminus, yes Chiangmai, which I can never find again.
