Best SF Breakfast
I went to Canteen a few months ago for brunch and was extremely disappointed. Mediocre food with a side of nasty attitude. The best recent breakfast I've had in the Bay area was at Brown Sugar in Oakland. Wonderful food.
Is Lotus of Siam worth the trek for a Portlander?
I've been to both LOS and Pok Pok many times. Two of my favorites, but not really the same experience. LOS is large, bright and has an extensive menu, including many Northern Thai specialties.
The wines at LOS are also great, esp German whites.
I think LOS is worth a trip to Vegas all by itself. If you love Thai food, you should go. As mentioned by others, the buffet is not at the same level as the regular dinner menu.
Wine Bars/Small Plates/Open Late?
Looking for advice regarding places to enjoy a bit of good food and drink, and still open at 11pm on a Thursday or Friday night. Anywhere from Westwood to Silverlake would be ok.
Testaccio & Trastevere Restaurants
We'll be back in Rome next week, if the volcano allows. Probably a good idea to reserve a few meals (esp. on the weekend) and then leave other days more open. Considering the following restaurants. Anyone have recent experiences in these places? Also, any other suggestions for great food and fun ambiance in Testaccio or Trastevere.
Felice
Remo
La Gensola
Paris
Da Agusto
L'Acino Brillo
Agustarello
Thanks for any input.
Sripraphai: 2 questions
At last, I'm going to visit Sripraphai for the 1st time next week. I love Thai food, and have been able to enjoy it on multiple trips to Thailand, and all over the west coast.
I was wondering about a couple of things:
1) planning to go early...say 6pm, on either Tuesday or Thursday. Would one of these days be better, or does it matter? Is there likely to be a long wait at 6pm?
2) Best food choices? I'm leaning toward the following: Tom Yum Goong, Catfish Salad, Larb, Sour Curry, anything with Duck...I've been told to avoid their Som Tom. Any other suggestions?
Thanks.

Most Overrated Restaurant in Seattle
I agree with NWWanderer. I also thought of Crush when I saw your title.
We went there about 2 months ago....the food was ok, but the service was terrible in a number of ways. All three of us were way under impressed. None of us will be returning.
